Mark Noble was named Hammer of the year for the second time at West Ham's end of season awards dinner on Tuesday evening.

The 26-year-old homegrown midfielder has been a model of consistency for the Hammers this term, starting every one of the Irons' 37 Premier League fixtures so far.

Noble has attempted 1,926 passes this term, creating 60 chances for his teammates, as well as making 107 tackles and 70 interceptions.

The Canning Town-born midfielder follows in the footsteps of legends such as Sir Trevor Brooking, Sir Geoff Hurst, Bobby Moore OBE and Billy Bonds MBE in becoming a multiple winner of the award.

Speaking to the club's website, Noble paid tribute to manager Sam Allardyce's role in his development: "I put my own season down to hard work and wanting to improve all the time. I just love coming into work and I think it shows.

"I support the gaffer because I have played every single game under Sam since he has come and I've won two Hammer of the year awards. The gaffer has never asked me to boot it. I try to get on the ball and make us play as much as possible and that's what has happened."

Noble continued: "It's been a tough season, but with the injuries we've had, we've not quite got what we deserved, but now we're 12th in the league. I've thoroughly enjoyed it. It's going to be nice to go up to Manchester City, give a good account of ourselves and then go on holiday.

"We've done well to get out of the position we were in at Christmas, and that's credit to the lads," added the former England Under-21 international.

The midfielder was also named players' player of the year.

Brooking won the club's lifetime achievement award for not only his contribution to the cause on the field, but away from it since retirement.

The attacking midfielder made more than 600 first-team appearances for the Hammers and scored 102 goals as he spent almost his entire career at Upton Park.

Spanish goalkeeper Adrián was named signing of the season after making an impressive start to life at the Boleyn Ground.

The 27-year-old joined from Real Betis last summer and before dislodging regular number one Jussi Jääskeläinen to make the goalkeeper's position his own.

Adrián also collected the gong for the display of the season for his part in the goalless draw at Chelsea as the Hammers' goal came under siege, taking the save of the season award for a stop to deny Oscar in the same fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Ravel Morrison secured the goal of the season award for his memorable strike in the 3-0 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in August - recognised as the team performance of the season.

Finally, Josh Cullen secured the recently re-named Dylan Tombides award for the academy player of the season.
