Epping Forest District Swimming Club took four swimmers to the East Region Youth Long Course Championships at the weekend, recording a number of personal bests.
Held in Luton, Fraser Barclay swam a personal best time of 19.03.99 in the 1500m freestyle.
Katie Whiffin improved on her personal best by four seconds, coming fifth in the final of the 200m breaststroke with a time of 2.55.26 as well as swimming 36.97 in the 50m breastroke.
Lisa Waite improved on her personal best by two seconds in the 15/16-year-old 200m freestyle, swimming 2.19.08.
Waite came sixth in the final of the 200m butterfly in 2.42.99 and also competed in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 50m breaststroke.
Hannah Gillespie shaved five seconds off her time in the 15/16-year-old 100m freestyle (1.04.74) time and two seconds off her 200m freestyle time (2.19.08).
