West Ham United have tabled a £7million bid for highly-rated young Stuttgart defender Antonio Rudiger, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 21-year-old defender is considered to be one of the Bundesliga’s rising stars and has already attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

Although Rudiger still has three years remaining on his current deal, West Ham are hoping to lure him away from Stuttgart with the prospect of Premier League football.

Rudiger is a full German international, having made his debut for Jochian Low's side in a 0-0 draw with Poland on May 13.

Born in Berlin, the 6ft3in centre-back has represented Germany at Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level previously.
