Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is being targeted by West Ham United, according to Football Direct News.

The former Liverpool midfielder joined the Swans last summer but enjoyed a strong first season with the Welsh outfit.

Shelvey, 22, scored six Premier League goals in 29 starts for Garry Monk's side, establishing himself as a regular at the Liberty Stadium.

A full England international, the former Charlton Athletic trainee won his won and only cap in the 5-0 World Cup qualifying win over San Marino in 2012.

Signed for £8m by Michael Laudrup from Liverpool, it's unlikely the Swans would accept a loss on the all-action midfielder.
