Premier Division

Wanstead and Snaresbrook won by 31 runs at home against Harold Wood on Saturday.

Wood won the toss and invited Wanstead to bat first, with the visitors making 134 before being bowled out.

Joe Ellis-Grewal hit 27 to top score, whilst Mahesh Velani reached 26.

Shahbaz Khan (five for 35) did his bit to prevent Wanstead from building a too commanding a lead.

Hamza Ikram (40) top-scored for Harold Wood with Colin Sher (34) one of only two other batsmen to reach double figures.

Kishen Velani was Wanstead’s leading wicket taker with three for 19, whilst Zain Shahzad took two for 15.

Loughton secured a six-wicket victory at home to South Woodford.

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first, setting a target of 214 before being removed.

Michael Gymer scored 43 whilst Anand Patel and Jake McMullen each added 35 to the total.

Bilal Butt took four for 58 in 9.4 overs for the hosts.

In reply, Loughton lost just four wickets in reaching their target of 215.

Kashif Mahmood top-scored with a knock of 84 and Mahmad Ali Khail weighed in with 54.

Gary Neicho took three for 13 from ten overs but could not prevent the hosts reaching their target.

Chingford enjoyed a comfortable seven-wicket win over Ilford, despite Hendro Puchert’s best efforts.

Batting first after winning the toss, Ilford could only reach 138 before being removed.

Opener Puchert led the way with 71 but was not supported by those who followed, Irfan Sahar (19) the second-highest scorer.

Liam Lannen (four for 23) was the most effective Chingford bowler as the hosts restricted Ilford.

Daniel Lawrence helped the hosts steady the ship with an unbeaten knock of 60 – something which looked unlikely at six for two.

Shaun Eaton departed on 48 before Alfie Taylor (16) and Lawrence saw Chingford across the line.

Sahar and Aron Nijjar got the wickets for Ilford.

Division One

Woodford Wells beat Wickford at home by three wickets, despite Darren Robinson’s century for the visitors.

The hosts won the toss and put Wickford into bat, with the visitors declaring on 219 for six.

Robinson top-scored with a knock of 113 and was ably supported by Jonathan Pratt (49).

Rory Ellison removed the wickets of four Wickford batsmen for 77 before the declaration.

Opener Hassan Chowdhury (74) and Rishabh Shah (70) guided Woodford to victory as they reached 220 with three wickets to spare.

Chirag Desai took three for 56 but it was not enough for the away side who were beaten.

Buckhurst Hill lost by three wickets at Harlow.

The hosts won the toss and put Buckhurst into bat, the visitors reached 214 for seven in their overs allowance.

Openers Ricky Reynolds (55) and Ian Russell (54) top-scored for the visitors, who posted a respectable total.

Luke Heskatt (three for 56) and Ahmed Khawaja (three for 67) took the wickets for Harlow.

At 32 for two and having seen both openers dismissed, Harlow bounced back with Ahmed Khawaja (56) and Rehman Ahmed (45) leading the recovery.

Mohib Shah (three for 61) and Rohan Bhome (three for 62) took all bar one of the Harlow wickets but it was not enough to prevent defeat.

Division Two

West Essex fell to a three-wicket loss at home to Orsett.

Electing to bowl first, Orsett had their hosts at 85 for six before they recovered to finish on 213 for eight.

Khalid Mehmood (56) and Sajid Mehmood (50 not out) went a long way to securing the total for the hosts.

George Pavitt was the most dangerous Orsett bowler. He took four for 62, including four maidens, in his 14 overs.

Opener Paul Bennett hit 52 before being removed leg before wicket and Alex Karkoski scored 43 to help Orsett to 214 for seven.

Zohair Jan and Arshad Mughal shared four wickets equally but they came at the expense of 99 runs.

Gidea Park and Romford won by five wickets at home to Fives and Heronians thanks to an unbeaten 91 from Russ Collard.

The hosts won the toss and bowled their visitors out for 204.

Gary Edwards top-scored for the visitors with a knock of 82 and Jake Poulter chipped in with a further 31.

Sam Hewitt finished with figures of four for 40, whilst Sarvesh Damle took four for 60.

Collard’s knock of 91 meant he was comfortably Gidea Park’s highest-scorer; Alan Croft added 39.

Stuart Knapman was the top Fives wicket-taker, finishing with four for 50 runs.

Division Three

Epping lost by 44 runs at Old Brentwoods.

The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 179 before being bowled out.

Taranjeet Ladhar ended on 39 and Shahid Iqbal (23 not out) made an important contribution for Brentwoods.

Yasin Vadasaria claimed three for 18 and Rakesh Bagga took three for 46 for the visitors.

Epping struggled with the bat and eventually reached 135 before being bowled out.

Salah Uddin Quadir (41) and Bagga (25) were the top scorers for the visitors, who only had four batsmen reach double figures.

Oakfield Parkonians suffered a heavy 100-run defeat at home to Old Southendian and Southchurch.

Put into bat by their visitors, Old Southendian were removed for 219.

Michael Hill led the way with a knock of 109 before Aaron Lucas added 31.

Shubhang Mehta took four for 47 for the visitors.

In response, Oakfield Parkonians struggled to ever get going and were all out for just 119.

Anton Buntin top-scored with 24 and Sachin Vara (21) chipped in but it was never enough for Parks.

Michael Hill was the stand-out performer with the ball and he ended with four for 43.

Adam Rendall also impressed and claimed three for 24.
