West Ham United are interested in signing AC Milan striker M’baye Niang according to the player’s agent.

Niang, 19, spent the second half of last season on loan at French club Montpellier and it is believed the Hammers will look to sign the France under 21 international on a season-long loan.

Stephane Courbis told milannews.it: “The interest of West Ham? Yes, I confirm that.”

He added: “It is difficult to say at this time [if he remains at AC Milan] without having a good conversation with the new coach.”

The centre forward scored four goals in 17 starts for Montpellier in Ligue 1 and has failed to score in 30 appearances for Milan.
