Tri Sport Epping holding 'Try a Triathlon' event this weekend
Tri Sport Epping are hosting their annual Try a Triathlon event in Ongar this weekend.
Held in memory of Jenny Clark, a member who passed away from cancer, ‘Try a Tri’ will take place at the Ongar Leisure Centre on Sunday, June 22.
Almost 200 people are expected to participate in the event which consists of a 300m swim, 21km bike ride and a four kilometre run.
The competitors will swim 12 lengths of a 25m pool before cycling two laps of a 10.5km circuit.
Athletes will cross the finishing line after running three laps that total four kilometres.
The event is aimed at bringing athletes into the sport of triathlon and for first timers who fancy a new challenge.
