West Ham United have offered centre-back Winston Reid a new long-term deal at Upton Park, according to Sky Sports News.

Reid, 26, has become a mainstay of the side in the last couple of seasons, after joining the Hammers from Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2010.

The New Zealand international saw his 2013/14 campaign disrupted by injury but still made 22 first-team appearances for Sam Allardyce's side.

Captain of the All Whites following the retirement of centre-half partner Ryan Nelsen, Reid has made 104 appearances for the Irons in all competitions, scoring six times.

The Auckland-born defender is currently contracted until June 2015 and Sam Allardyce is keen to tie down the 6ft3in centre-half to a new, longer-term deal.
