Leyton Orient winger Dean Cox has agreed a new three-year contract with the club.

The former Brighton attacker played a key role in helping the O's to the play-off final last season and his new deal is a major boost for the club.

Cox scored 17 goals last season and also provided 15 assists, which was the joint best in League 1, for Orient.

Crawley recently enquired about the availability of the 26-year-old but the O's moved quickly to keep their winger at Brisbane Road.

Cox is the longest serving player currently at the club having made 210 appearances and scored 46 goals during his four years with Orient.
