Leyton Orient have signed former Millwall defender Shane Lowry on a two-year contract.

The Australian-born defender played 23 times for the Championship side last season and was a regular in the previous campaign.

The verstatile 25-year-old can play either at left-back or in the centre of defence and will provide another option for Russell Slade's side.

Lowry started off his career at Aston Villa and has had loan spells with Plymouth, Leeds, United, Sheffield United and Millwall before a permanent move to the Lions. 

He is the O's fourth summer signing and could make his debut in Wednesday's friendly at Gateshead.
