David Gold says he has “no reason” to believe striker Andy Carroll will return to former employers Newcastle United this summer.
Carroll, 25, left Newcastle for Liverpool three-and-a-half-years ago in a British record deal worth £35m.
After an unsuccessful spell at Anfield, Carroll signed for West Ham last season for £15m.

However, following the signing of Ecuador striker Enner Valencia for a similar price this summer, stories have surfaced linking the England international with a return to the North East.
And Hammers co-owner David Gold was quick to play down talk of a potential return to St James’ Park for the powerful forward.
Carroll's 2013/14 campaign was marred by injury, with the former Magpies forward scoring just two Premier League goals in an injury-ravaged campaign.
