West Ham boss Sam Allardyce hopes to secure Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson on loan within the next 24 hours.

Speaking talkSPORT, the Hammers manager said the London club expect to complete the move with the 22-year-old by Wednesday evening.

“We’re interested in signing Carl Jenkinson on loan from Arsenal,” Allardyce told talkSPORT. “I’m hoping it’s going to be completed in the next 24 hours. We’re hoping it’s all going to be OK.”

The England Under-21 international is expected to sign a year-long loan deal and has already turned down the likes of Hull City, Sunderland and Swansea to make the move to Upton Park.
