West Ham United’s £2m offer for Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano has been accepted, according to the Daily Mail.

The 29-year-old French international spent last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, impressing during 30 league and cup outings for the Baggies.

Though the Midlands outfit had the option to sign Amalfitano permanently, two head coaches have been appointed at The Hawthorns since he was signed by Steve Clarke a year ago.

Born in Nice, the 5ft 8in playmaker won his one and only France cap to date against Germany in 2012.

Amalfitano scored four times in the Premier League for West Brom last season, including the memorable winner against Manchester United at Old Trafford in September.

Having started his career with Ligue 2 Sedan, Amalfitano earned a move to Lorient in 2009 and impressed upon the step up to Ligue 1, making the move to French giants Marseille.

A regular in his first two seasons at the Stade Velodrome, making 73 appearance in all competitions, Amalfitano moved to England on a season-long loan deal last summer.
