Woodford Green with Essex Ladies’ Shana Cox helped Team GB win bronze with a season’s best time in the final of 4x400m at the European Championships in Zurich this afternoon.
The 29-year-old was part of the Team GB’s women’s 4x400m relay team which finished third in the event, crossing the line in a time of 3.24.34.
Cox and Team GB finished behind winners France (3.24.27) and second-place Ukraine (3.24.32) to claim bronze at the championships in Switzerland.
The New York-born sprinter was left out of the team which secured Britain’s final spot by winning their qualifying heat on Saturday afternoon.
