Morgan Amalfitano is keen on a return to the Premier League but with West Ham United as opposed to West Bromwich Albion, according to Sky Sports.
The 29-year-old spent the 2013/14 season on loan at the Hawthorns and scored four times in 28 appearances.
However, the midfielder is understood to be keen to sign for Sam Allardyce’s side before the transfer window closes on September 1.
Amalfitano has become disillusioned at his current club Marseille, amid reports of a training ground bust-up with new head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
West Brom had the opportunity to make his loan move permanent, but the sacking of Pepe Mel at the end of last season prevented a move for the one-cap French international.
