Premier Division

Bishop’s Stortford Swifts’ Anthony James continued his stunning start to the season, building on his previous weekend’s hat-trick with four goals in his side’s 5-2 win over Springfield.

Jack Isherwood scored the other goal as the Swifts established themselves as the early league leaders.

Adam Vyse scored the two Springfield consolation goals.

Luke Skinner marked his debut for Hannakins Farm in memorable fashion – netting a hat-trick in a 5-2 win over Southminster St Leonards.

Elliot Vule and Ben Swift were the other scorers for Hannakins, whilst Thomas Cocklin and Connor Warring netted for Southminster.

Last season’s title winners have won just a solitary point from their first two league fixtures.

There was a treble for Mike Daniels of Kelvedon Hatch, who scored all three in their 3-0 win against Newham United – enough to move Kelvedon into second place at this early stage of the season.

Harold Wood Athletic claimed a 2-1 win at Rayleigh Town thanks to a brace from Brad Foley.

Alex Witham scored the consolation for Rayleigh, who are winless after their first two.

Frenford Senior got up and running for the new season with a 3-1 success over Manford Way.

Danny Driscoll, Brett Munyard and Jo McEvoy got the goals for Frenford, whilst Stuart Houghton hit back for Manford Way.

Buckhurst Hill and Newbury Forest played out an entertaining 2-2 draw, with Freddie Donkor and James Lindie the Buckhurst scorers and Nick Marrable and Tom Prendergast netting for Newbury.

Division One

Newly-promoted Shenfield AFC began their season in the best possible fashion, thrashing Westhamians 6-1 away from home.

Billy Texeira showed he’ll have no problem adapting to a higher level, scoring a hat-trick for the visitors. Sam Lock also hit the goal trail, netting twice, with Ben Absolone rounding off the win.

Westhamians’ goal came via Dane Willis.

Harold Hill are the league’s early leaders following a 2-1 victory over Leigh Ramblers.

Chris Blohm and Darren Leung both scored to cancel out Max Corrigan’s goal for the Ramblers.

Old Southendian lost at home in their local derby with White Ensign; David Tubbs the scorer in a 2-1 reverse.

Division Two

Basildon Town were in devastating form as they scored 11 times without reply against Ryan FC to win 11-0.

Chris Charlery led the way for Basildon by helping himself to a four-goal haul, whilst Reece Conway weighed in with a hat-trick. There were also goals for Wayne Bowers, Charlie Johnson, Brad Burgess and Steve Tanner.

The resounding win leaves Basildon atop the standings.

Last season’s Division Three champions, Rochford Town, began their season with a 4-0 win over Roydon.

Nathan Dewberry was the tormentor-in-chief, netting three times for Rochford, who saw Ben Smith add a fourth.

Snaresbrook were another side beginning life at a higher level with all three points, winning 2-0 at Debden Sports.

Josh Woodcock and Junior Dentil got the goals for the newly-promoted side.

Toby were 3-1 winners at Benfleet, with Ryan Morgan’s brace paving the way to victory and Charlie Legg netting the third.

Joe Villers scored the Benfleet goal.

Division Three

Southend Sports were rampant against local rivals Stambridge United, running in ten goals in a 10-2 victory which sends them top of the league.

Alfie Lindsay scored a hat-trick and Barv Waiwaiku got two for Southend. Dom Binds, Charlie Baddely, Paul Wines, Dean Cowens and Jimmy Webb also got in on the act in a resounding victory.

For Stambridge, Joe Young and Kosi Hemans found the back of the net.

FC Hamlets POAPC beat Forest Glade 3-1, with the goals coming from Ashley King, who netted twice, and Thomas Clancy, who scored a penalty.
