Woodford Green with Essex Ladies’ Tiffany Porter broke Jessica Ennis-Hill’s British record in the 100m hurdles at the IAAF Continental Cup in Marrakech on Sunday.
Porter, 26, crossed the line in a time of 12.51 – enough to put her ahead of the 12.54 recorded by Ennis-Hill during the heptathlon at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
The Michigan-born hurdler, who recently won gold at the European Championships in Zurich, was representing Europe and finished second in the event behind the Americas' Dawn Harper Nelson.
Porter, who is coached by Rana Reider, also won silver this season at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Europe won the two-day competition in Morocco - formerly known as the World Cup - with a total of 447.5 points to ensure a comfortable victory over 2010 winners Americas.
