Crostyx Ladies came out on top in their local derby with Old Loughtonians, winning a thrilling encounter 3-2.

It was Crostyx who drew first blood, taking the lead when Laura Feldman manufactured enough space to fire a reverse stick hit beyond the Loughts goalkeeper.

The lead was then doubled when Sarah Belsham was picked out unmarked to drive home the second from the top of the ‘D’ and put Crostyx into a commanding 2-0 lead.

Hackett then grabbed her second to put Styx 3-0 up after a sustained period of Loughts’ pressure had failed to bring a goal. From a short corner, Hackett drag flicked into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal.

Two goals from open play hauled Loughts back into the contest after the break, with goalkeeper Rosie Batchelor excelling to preserve the win for her side.

Crostyx Ladies Seconds were beaten 4-2 by East London in soggy conditions at Lee Valley.

After repelling a number of East London attacks, the home side eventually took the lead in the first half.

However, Crostyx quickly got back on terms when Jo Fryer-Green tucked home following a short corner.

A similar pattern followed after the break; East London re-taking the lead before Green once more pegged the opposition back with a stroke.

However, two further strikes handed East London the win as they capitalised on tiring Styx legs.

The Ladies’ Thirds fell to an agonizing last-gasp defeat, going down 3-2 to Witham.

After holding their own for the first 15 minutes, Crostyx fell behind to a close-range strike, before shipping a second after the break.

Lizzie Matson got one back for Styx following a good period of play, and before long, Jenni May had scored to pull Crostyx level at 2-2.

However, a lapse of concentration at the back ultimately undid all of Styx’s hard work at the death.

A 4-0 win lifted over Dereham lifted Wapping into third place in the Premier A League.

Hosts Wapping started brightly against their previously unbeaten visitors and were left disappointed not to go into the break more than 1-0 ahead; Mat Hyden the first-half scorer.

Despite a strong start from Dereham to the second period, two strikes from ex-Walsh international Dominic Graham put the hosts in charge, before Rob Pryce wrapped up the scoring.

A late goal undid Wapping Ladies, who fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to West Herts Ladies.

Both sides created a plentiful amount of chances, but neither was able to strike the telling blow until the visitors snuck home in the final minutes following chaos in the ‘D’.
