Crostyx Ladies’ Firsts were 3-2 winners at Bromley and Beckenham after picking up their second win of the campaign, with Anna Feldman to the fore.

Hosts Bromley went ahead early on but, not to be denied, Crostyx levelled when Ciara Newell fired home from the top of the ‘D’ from open play to put the visitors back on level terms.

The second half began encouragingly for Crostyx, who were quickly ahead when Feldman let fly from a well-worked short corner routine.

That trick was repeated again soon after, with Feldman again the beneficiary, putting Crostyx 3-1 up.

Bromley and Beckenham did get one back, but it was not enough and Crostyx claimed the win.

The Ladies’ Firsts host Colchester next weekend.

Crostyx Ladies’ Seconds were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Havering Seconds and remain winless at home as a result.

Within the first ten minutes a Havering through-ball found their centre-forward in space, one-on-one with goal keeper Emma Thorne. However Thorne’s initial save wasn't enough, and from the follow up, the visitors took the lead.

The home side rallied and put together some promising attacks, winning several short corners which they were unable to convert. Havering took full advantage and continued to attack at pace but the home side steadied their defensive game and prevented the visitors from increasing their lead.

Despite creating some good opportunities after the break, Styx could not find an equaliser, and in defeat, handed Havering their first win of the campaign.

A trip to Basildon Thirds awaits next weekend.
