Senior Division Cup

Wadham Lodge comfortably progressed after beating fellow Premier Division outfit Springfield 5-1 on Saturday.

Charlie Georgiou and Harry Honesty both scored twice and Mason Stewart was also on target. Springfield’s consolation came via Liam England.

Premier Division

Buckhurst Hill suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Southminster St Leonards in a game in which both sides missed penalties.

After Southminster had taken an early lead through Mark Jones, both teams were then unable to capitalise from 12 yards, before Myles Whittingham made sure of the champions’ first win of the campaign.

Newbury Forest remain in the relegation zone after they lost 2-1 at Newham United. The win propelled Newham up to seventh.

Joel Clarke scored for May & Baker E.C. but they lost 2-1 to Frenford Senior.

Division Two

Second-placed Snaresbrook dished out a 5-0 beating to Rochford Town which meant they cut leaders Toby’s advantage to two points.

The goals came through a Matt Shrubsole brace, with Josh Woodcock, Tess Tesfay and Harry Brown also on target.

Runwell Hospital took all the points from bottom-placed Debden Sports, as James Lakey (2), Connor Barnby and Billy Smith all fired home in a 4-1 victory.

The hosts’ consolation came from Gary Williams.

Old Barkabbeyans remain in the other relegation zone despite gaining a point at LOASS in a 3-3 draw.

The home side scored through Daniel Bondzie, Michael Ryder and Tommy Unwin, with a Josh Robinson double and Chris Barlow responding for Barkabbeyans.

Roydon sit one place above the drop zone after they too shared a point from a 1-1 draw with Ryan, with Mo Benzid scoring the Roydon goal.
