Premier Division

Second-placed Chingford Celtic thrashed West Thurrock 6-3 to close the gap on league-leaders Greengate to three points.

Celtic have played a game more than Greengate though, who were not in league action at the weekend.

Lewis Board and Lee Doyle each bagged braces for Celtic, who saw further strikes from Thomas English and Harrison Smith complete a resounding win.

Third-placed Coral were comfortable victors, winning 3-1 at home to Elm Park Eagles. Declan Clarke, Jonathan Hime and Matthew Peacock got the Coral goals, with Shane Redford hitting back for the Eagles.

A place below, Warren United kept up the pressure on Coral by beating Woodbridge 3-1. Ben Rippongale, James Peagram and Daniel Bell were the United scorers; Liam Flanagan getting the Woodbridge consolation.

Division One

Top-of-the-table Ainslie Wood maintained their unbeaten record by beating May & Baker Club 3-2 away from home.

Courtney Wedderburn proved to be the match-winner for Wood, netting a brace, whilst Eric Kelly also chipped in. Goals from Stuart Kilden and Jamie Boulaylib were not enough for the hosts.

In second spot, Repton Park maintained their 100 per cent record, winning their fourth game from four with a 5-0 rout of St Augustines.

Alliance United drew 1-1 with CSKA Dynamos; Nicky Hornsby and Nick Perry scoring the goals for their respective sides.

Archers Athletic were 3-1 winners over Aldborough Hatch, who snatched a consolation goal via James Gibbings.

Division Two

Table-topping Wanstead United beat Park Tavern 3-1 – a result which means they are still three points ahead of second-placed Leyton Green.

And Green were in a ruthless mood as they dispatched with Napier 7-2 away from home. They also boast a game in hand over Wanstead.

Luke Gray scored a brace for Romford Galaxy to sink hosts Heathside 2-1, whilst E4 Rangers got their first win of the season by edging out Pro Elite Soccer United by the odd goal in five.

Essex Sunday Premier Cup

Morfdown Elect squeezed through on penalties, beating Westhamians 5-4 from the spot following a 2-2 draw in extra-time.

Joining them in the next round are Hullbridge Sports, who eased out EMWA 1-0.

London Sunday Challenge Cup

Greengate were unable to transfer their league form to the cup, going down to a 5-1 reverse at home to Vista.

West Essex Sunday Charity Cup

Lonsdale romped into the next round, defeating East Forest County 7-2 away from home.

Romford Elite also sealed their place in the hat for the next round of the competition, beating CFC Flamengo 3-2.
