A brace from Sergio Garcia helped fire FC Leytonstone to a 5-2 win over Belfry in the London City Airport Sunday League.

Garcia opened the scoring when he rounded the keeper and netted but the visitors grabbed a quick equaliser.

It didn’t take long for the Stones to get their noses in front again when captain Ahmed Arab played a through ball for Ibby Khan to latch onto and he set up Garcia for a clever back-heeled finish.

The Belfry keeper was then given a red card for taking out Khan and he stepped up to convert the penalty kick.

Micah Stennett put the nail in the coffin for Belfry with a powerful volley from an Imran Patel corner and Ahmed Pele finished off the victory with Leytonstone’s fifth after a Garcia assist.

FC Leytonstone Under-16s thrashed Leyton Orient Community 6-2 in the Hackney Marshes Saturday Youth League.

The league newcomers found themselves 1-0 down after a quality finish from the O’s striker.

But, however impressive Orient were on the attack, they struggled at the back as Leytonstone took full advantage to record their first home victory.

Carlos Gomes grabbed a brace while Ashtyn Michael, Ndue Telaj, Eduardo Litambola and Nasim Kournif all got on the scoresheet.

Victor Adefarakan was named man-of-the-match after a commanding performance in the midfield for the winners.

FC Leytonstone Under-14s cruised to a 5-1 home win over SP United in the Hackney Saturday Youth League.

Ahmed Saeed grabbed a brace while Mohammed Sheikh, Oweruku and Abbas were all on target in the convincing victory.
