Redbridge scored twice in the final ten minutes to secure a dramatic 4-3 win at Burnham Ramblers in the Isthmian Division One North on Saturday.

Jacob Cleaver struck for the Motormen and Kye Jude for the hosts to send the two sides in level at the break.

And when Leon Smith was dismissed for Dave Ross and Ricky Eaton’s side, Burnham took advantage by scoring twice.

Isaac Aubynn and Emmanuel Johnson got the goals to put the home side in control before Cleaver notched his second.

However, Redbridge staged a remarkable comeback in the final ten minutes, with Mark Nougher converting a penalty and Vinny Murphy grabbing the winner.

Redbridge host Dereham Town in the league on Saturday before entertaining Canvey Island in the fourth round of the Essex County Cup on Tuesday.

Waltham Abbey were denied a win against Thamesmead Town as they conceded a last-minute equaliser to draw 3-3.

The Abbotts went 1-0 up when Jason Hallett struck in the 18th minute, only for Tyrus Gordon-Young to equalise for Thamesmead.

It was the visitors who seized the momentum after the break as Leslie Thompson scored four minutes after the restart.

However, the Mead were pegged back when Tom Bruno scored the second penalty of the afternoon.

With just two minutes remaining Harry Elmes looked to have settled an entertaining clash in Abbey’s favour, only for Michael Ewuso to snatch a point in the dying seconds.

Paul Wickenden’s side are away to Romford on Saturday.

In the Essex Senior League, Waltham Forest were beaten 3-1 by league-leaders Haringey Borough.

Hosts Haringey took a two-goal lead into half time following goals from Lynvall Duncan and Darrell Cox inside the opening half-an-hour.

Seven minutes after the restart Waltham Forest halved the deficit when Luke Ifil drove home a low close-range shot.

Despite a sustained period of pressure from the Stags, Borough got home when Walid Matata converted an 83rd-minute penalty to seal the points for Tom Loizou’s side.

Forest host Sporting Bengal United on Saturday.
