Old Loughtonians ladies were beaten 4-2 by West Herts in the East Premier League and slipped to fourth position as a result.

Defeat leaves Loughts five points behind league-leaders Cambridge.

Loughts men’s team fared slightly better, drawing 2-2 with West Herts, but still found themselves third from bottom in the East Conference due to Oxted’s victory over Richmond.

In the England Hockey Men's Second XI Cup, Old Loughtonians Seconds were knocked out 3-2 by Surbiton.

Wapping hosted Blueharts and won 3-2 courtesy of goals from Felix Styles, Ollie Davies and Oliver Cooper.

It was a different story for Wapping ladies, who suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of Bromley & Beckenham, going down 2-1.

Crostyx made it four wins in a row by winning an entertaining encounter 3-2 against Bourne Deeping.

Styx had to come from 2-0 behind and goals from debutant Jack Dempsey, Immy Jabbal and Tim Watson turned the tie around for the east Londoners.

However, Crostyx ladies were denied a share of the spoils as they lost out 2-1 late on against Upminster.

Laura Feldman brought Styx back into the game with a well-taken goal but Upminster snatched the winner late on via a cleverly-worked corner routine.
