Essex Sunday Corinthian Football League

Premier Division

In a weekend where the fixture schedule was decimated by postponements due to the inclement weather, the division's only match fixture proved a thriller as Elm Park Eagles lost 6-5 to Morfdown Elect.

The result sees Morfdown move up to eighth in the table and move three points clear of ninth-placed Romford Elite with the benefit of two games in hand.

It was just Morfdown’s third win of the season and was enough to see them go level on points with Elm Park in seventh.

Division One

Aldborough Hatch were in imperious form as they moved three points clear at the summit thanks to an 8-0 trouncing of Spring Farm.

Despite having a depleted squad for the game, Hatch were never really pressured by a Spring Farm side that are four points adrift at the bottom of the table.

In a mid-table clash, St Augustines and Lonsdale played out a 3-3 draw to remain in fifth and seventh place respectively.

Thomas Neil, John Sullivan and David Liam Fitzgerald had put the Saints 3-0 before they inexplicably let the lead slip.

The result means St Augustines close the gap on Warren United Reserves, in fourth, who have five games in hand on them, to five points.

Elsewhere, Archers Athletic won 3-1 at home to CSKA Dynamos to move within a point of St Augustines.

Division Two

Flanders won 3-0 away at Romford Galaxy to tighten their grip on second place.

Matt Hunt and Matt Hector scored either side of an own goal to seal a result which means Flanders are seven points behind table-toppers Leyton Green with four games in hand.

Mid-table Heathside were powerless to stop Park Tavern leaving Castle Green Leisure Centre with all three points.

Goals from Kristopher Brown, Danny Black, Craig Bish and Nicholas Paul Tormey saw Tavern run out 4-2 winners.

Division Two Cup

E4 Rangers easily dispatched Pro Elite Soccer United 5-0 to advance to the semi finals where they will face Leyton Green.
