PROKIT UK Essex Olympian League
Premier Division
Newbury Forest were in action for the first time in three months on Saturday and displayed no signs of rustiness in a 6-0 win at Southminster St Leonards.
Jason Reynolds-Blanche scored twice, with Danny Kenny, Andrew Lowe, Terlochan Singh and Kinkela Lutanki all netting for Forest.
The victory means Forest, currently second bottom in 13th, are now just two points from safety with four games in hand on Manford Way, the side directly above them.
Division One
Ongar Town moved up to eighth place thanks to a 2-0 win against Galleywood Town, a place below them.
Goals from Ben Polley and Nikki Love mean there is now a five-point gap between Ongar and the bottom two.
Division Three
Roydon had a day to forget in the division's only fixture, losing 6-3 to Benfleet.
Goals from Mo Benzid, Sam Mbarki and Jack Foot were not enough for Roydon, who are just two points above Debden Sports in the drop zone.
