Crawley Town boss Dean Saunders has admitted he is surprised Leyton Orient have struggled this season after the amount they have spent.

The O's brought in high wage earners such as Darius Henderson and Jobi McAnuff this season but are in a battle to avoid relegation.

Orient travel to Crawley Town, who are one place above them, this afternoon in a match which could have a huge bearing on both sides' hopes of staying up.

Saunders said: "Orient have had a decent run. I always thought they would pick up at some stage because they have got good players. Their two strikers probably earn more than our whole team.

"The players they have got and money paid out I’m surprised they are where they are. Dagnall and Henderson would get in any League One team so I’m surprised they're down there but I thought it's a matter of time before they put it together. But hopefully we can make it four points between us which means they've got to win two (games) to get above us."
