Essex Sunday Corinthian Football League

Premier Division

Second-placed Warren United picked up another win, beating Coral 3-1, but know the title is already out of their reach.

Greengate did not play but as they hold a nine-point lead over Warren, who have just two games remaining, they cannot be caught.

James Peagram scored twice for visiting Warren with George Cranfield also on target in a comfortable win.

Substitute Joe Morris pulled one back for the home side, who have now completed their fixture schedule.

EMWA now know the highest they can finish is third after losing a thrilling nine-goal tussle with Romford Elite 5-4.

Warren are ten points ahead of EMWA, who still have three games remaining.

George Ashwan scored a brace, with Thomas Quinn and Josh Jarvis also on-target for EMWA. Daniel Daley's hat-trick and a double from Ian Sawyer sealed the points for Romford, though.

A hat-trick from Zak Oshay was enough to seal a 3-1 win for Elm Park Eagles at home to Woodbridge.

West Thurrock and Morfdown Elect played out a goalless draw which leaves Thurrock staring relegation in the face.

With two games left they will need to win both and hope third-bottom Romford lose both of theirs in order to survive. Morfdown are a point behind Romford with a game in hand.

Division One

Thirteen was Spring Farm's unlucky number as they were mercilessly crushed 13-1 at home by third-placed Repton Park.

In a clinical display of finishing there were goals for Jesse Spearing (4), George Henry Pummell (3), Jobe Ambrose (2), Michael Robinson, Tommy Cummings, Georgie Groom and Ross Fraser.

Second-placed Ainslie Wood remain hot on the heels of leaders Aldborough Hatch - who were not in action - after beating Warren United Reserves 5-2.

The win leaves Wood in the healthy position of having two games in hand on the table toppers whilst only trailing them by a solitary point.

A hat-trick from Eric Kelly, plus efforts from Marc Cologne and James Sims-Williams sealed the points for Wood.

St Augustines brought the curtain down in style on their league season, beating Lonsdale 3-0.

Goals from Jack Daly, David Liam Fitzgerald and John Sullivan did the damage for the away side.

Division Two

Second-placed Flanders know two points from their remaining two games will see them win the title after dismantling E4 Rangers 10-1 in the division's only fixture.

The victory means current leaders Leyton Green hold just a one-point advantage over Flanders - who have two games in hand - having already completed their schedule.
