The Essex Alliance Football League

Premier Division

With neither of the top two in action it was third-placed Jolof Sports Club who took centre stage, beating St Francis 3-1.

The win means Jolof are two points ahead of fourth-placed Melbourne Sports, meaning they will clinch third on the final weekend if they match or better Melbourne’s result.

Fifth-placed Cranes United heaped yet more misery on already-relegated Rainham Working Men's Club by easing to a 3-0 home win.

The victory leaves Cranes two points behind Melbourne Sports, in fourth, heading into the final round of fixtures.

Division One

Glendale can still avoid the drop – that despite losing 3-1 at home to runners-up Northend.

The bottom side are just two points from safety and with three games to play, they have as many as two in hand on the sides above them.

Northend already know they have second place and promotion stitched up but were victorious thanks to goals from Ross Williams, Max Skimmings and Timi Uthman Olaniyan.

Ricky Mentesh replied in vain for hosts Glendale.

The division's only other fixture, Vittoriosa Falcons against St Johns Deaf, went unfulfilled as the later could not field a team.

Fenton Cup Semi-Final

Chingford Athletic are through to the final after crushing local rivals Chingford Town in a 12-goal thriller.

A hat-trick from Michael Mignot was added to by Tom Pearce (2), Lee Bowers, Tobias Hayden, David Andrew Live and Lee Doyle.

Their opponents in the final will be Grove United, who were 2-1 winners at Melbourne Sports.

Jamie Pooley bagged a brace, cancelling out Luke Norman's goal for the hosts.
