Michael Cutter won the Jeffery Prize, a competition restricted to winners of the 2014 monthly Division 2 medals, at Woodford Golf Club on Sunday.
He came in with a score of 93-19=74 net. Second was Anthony Weaver on 90-15=75, who just beat Steve Bland on a count-back. Bland had his handicap lowered by one to 16.
Eight players qualified for the Presidents’ Cup on Saturday. Aiden Steed, Mark Deeming, Tom Steed, Roger Newman, Tony Olley, Paul Morley, Simon Ironside and Mike Everitt will now play in a knock-out competition for the cup.
The seniors’ section May Medal was won by Colin Bartlett last week with 40 stableford points.
Second was Hugh Williams on 34. The best front nine score of 16 points was returned by Julian Greatrex and Ray Jones's drive won the nearest the pin prize on the ninth.
