Roma are considering a loan offer made by West Ham United for Italian striker Mattia Destro.

According to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, West Ham contacted the Italian club this morning over the possibility of a loan deal and the offer is under consideration.

The forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Milan, but the Rossoneri decided against buying him outright after he scored just three goals in 14 appearances.

Destro, 24, was reportedly close to a move to Monaco this window only for the deal to seemingly fall through due to the clubs being unable to agree a fee.

The Italian international was said to be holding out for a move to Fiorentina but would welcome the chance to prove himself in the Premier League, rather than Ligue 1.
