Leyton Orient boss Ian Hendon has added to his backroom staff by returning to former club West Ham United to appoint ex-Orient stopper Lee Harrison to his coaching team.

The former Barnet and Orient gloveman arrives as goalkeeping coach and is joined by new physio Peter Webb, strength and conditioning coach Craig Smith and chief scout Ged Searson.

Harrison, 43, spent two years at the Matchroom Stadium between 2003 and 2005, making 67 appearances in all competitions following a £10,000 move from Peterborough United.

His next stop was Barnet and it was at Underhill he worked with former Bee Hendon before the pair were reunited at Upton Park.

Having previously coached at Wycombe Wanderers following his retirement, Harrison was working as goalkeeping coach for the development team with the Hammers.

Meanwhile, physio Webb moves to E10 having previously served at Charlton Athletic, West Ham United, Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace.

Smith has also worked at West Ham United and was head of sports science for two years at Northampton Town prior to that.

Finally, Searson lists West Ham, Barnet and Gillingham – all clubs at which Hendon has been – among his former posts.
