Leyton Orient are considering signing former Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Luke Howell.
The midfield trialist played during the second half of the O's 2-1 defeat at Braintree Town on Friday night after leaving Dagenham on a free transfer this summer.
Daggers boss Wayne Burnett told the Barking and Dagenham Post: "We’ve spoken to him and I wish Luke well.
“He’s been a fantastic servant to Dagenham and did marvellous. He’s moving on and now we have to move on.”
Orient also played trialist defender Frazer Shaw in their opening friendly and were believed to have fielded midfielder Alex Woodyard and striker Francois Zoko as they look to add to their squad.
O's head coach Ian Hendon said: "We've got some sorting out to do with the trialists we've got in there so we need to make some decisions on those quickly to be fair to them as well.
"They want to get themselves fixed up as quickly as possible so we'll be doing that in the next couple of days and there will be a couple of new faces."
