London Raiders have added Sam Roberts to their squad but have also been dealt a blow with the news Mason Webster has decided to depart after just six weeks at the club.

Roberts is a forward who joins from Haringey ahead of the upcoming National League season and has been something of a consistent scorer over the course of the last four years, averaging a point per game.

He completed the hat-trick at the Haringey end-of-season awards ceremony, winning the Players’ Player, Fans’ Player and Supporters’ Player Of The Year Awards.

Speaking to the London Raiders website on his move, Roberts said: “I’m super excited to step up a league and show what I can do.”

“I trained hard last season and played my best hockey so hopefully I can show it playing for the Raiders.”

The signing of Roberts wasn’t the only piece of transfer activity this week, as it was announced Webster was to depart the Raiders after just six weeks with the club.

Webster has been offered a role with an EPL side, the league in which he played last season and has decided to depart for pastures new.
