Essex racer Lochlan Bearman put his own season to one side to help Debden Park High School scoop successive British Schools Karting Championship wins at the weekend.
Bearman, 13, also picked up the fastest lap of the 72 drivers competing at the weekend and his prize is a day with Ginetta Race team Super Green Racing and their driver Ben Green.
This is the third year that his school, Debden Park High School, (DPHS) has competed in the competition. They have got a team to the final on every occasion and were champions last year.
And this time around, DPHS got two teams to the final where there were 24 teams from across Britain competing to be crowned champions.
The format was each team has three drivers and each driver has two races with the best five results counting.
DPHS secured two wins, two seconds, a fourth and a seventh place to become the first team ever to win the championship in successive years.
The drivers ranged from the age of 13 to 18 and the DPHS team, comprised of Bearman, Archie Flack, 14, and 16-year-old Jack Nichol were one of the youngest competing.
