Woodford Green with Essex Ladies have this week seen Tosin Oke record a World Championships qualifying mark whilst Ezekiel Ewulo recorded a new club long jump record.
Ewulo, who has this season switched allegiance from Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Nigeria, competed in his first Nigerian Championships at Warri, where he placed second in the long jump with a personal best of 7.85m (+1.2).
That jump improved on his Woodford club record from 7.75m (i), although he does have a windy (+2.9) 7.90m to his credit this season.
Meanwhile, former Commonwealth Games champion again Oke won the Nigerian title in the triple jump with a season's best, and World Championship qualifying mark of 16.98m (+1.4).
There was success also for Woodford at the Inter-Counties Championships at Bedford over the weekend, where Youcef Zatat and Anthony Oshodi picked up silver and bronze respectively in the shot put.
Zatat finished ahead of his club-mate to scoop second thanks to a put of 16.52m. And Oshodi was just behind in third place with 16.23m.
On the track the best performance of the day belonged to Eugene Ayanful, who reached the 100m final and placed fourth in 10.69 (-0.4) having qualified from his semi-final with a season's best time of 10.46 (+1.7).
Under-20 Joseph Dewar also progressed to the semi-finals but the European Junior silver medalist was disqualified for a false start.
And there was disappointment for Joseph in the long jump too, where he could only manage ninth with 6.75m (+0.1).
