Old Loughtonians have a two-point lead atop the East Premier Division thanks to a 2-1 win over Cambridge University on Saturday.

Loughts' ladies were also victorious in the East Premier Division, beating Tunbridge Wells 2-0.

Goals from Greta Haberer and Sorcha Cowley after the break sealed victory for Loughts, who move into fifth place.

Wapping continued their early season title tilt with a 3-2 win over Cambridge City Seconds in East Premier A on Saturday.

Buoyant after a 5-1 win against Cambridge University last week, Wapping made a bright start and were rewarded when Dominic Graham finished well after 15 minutes.

Disappointed not to add to the former Wales international’s strike before half time, Wapping were punished by two quick-fire strikes from Cambridge after the restart.

But to Wapping’s credit they refused to buckle in the face of a setback and quickly began to assert themselves on proceedings once more.

Their efforts were rewarded by two further short corner goals, the first from Graham and the second a rebound by Ian Kibble which turned the game in their favour.

Wapping ladies continued their strong start to the new East Division One South season too, beating Sevenoaks Seconds 3-1.

After a scrappy start in which Wapping had enjoyed the better of the game, Lucy Todd opened the scoring in the 20th minute.

Sevenoaks levelled at the beginning of the second period but Wapping immediately re-took the lead through Kate Silbermann.

Kate Radford wrapped up the scoring with a low drive.

Crostyx were 4-2 winners over Harpenden in East Division Two South.

Meanwhile, Crostyx ladies won 2-1 against Harpenden in East League Division Two Central.

Goalless at the break, a Hannah Cole brace sealed Styx's victory.
