Essex Sunday Corinthian Football League

Premier Division

As the weather wreaked havoc on the fixture list, second placed Warren United took full advantage of the fact league leaders Poplar Boys were not in action, closing the gap on the table toppers to a single point by thrashing Shelby 5-1.

The win means Warren a now hot on the tails of Poplar, though they have played two games more than the unbeaten pace setters.

Ainslie Wood moved into third place, leapfrogging Repton Park in the process, by curising to a routine 3-0 win at FC Continental.

The away side made light work of taking apart third placed Continental with goals from forwards Eric Kelly and James Sims-Williams added to by defender Niall Mullins.

Victory leaves them three points above Repton, in fourth, and six points shy of leaders Poplar.

In the division's only other fixture, second-bottom side Liberty Stars had rare cause for celebration as they clinched just their second win of the season, winning 3-2 at home to EMWA.

That victory means Liberty now have a four-point buffer between themselves and the side propping up the table, winless Aldborough Hatch.

Division One

Barking are one of three teams all on 12 points after their 3-1 victory at home to Warren United Reserves.

Kastriot Vata scored a brace for the hosts and that win means Barking head a cluster of three sides who are in hot pursuit of third-placed Archers Athletic.

The only other game to go ahead in the division saw Lonsdale claim their first win of the season and move off the bottom by beating Archers Athletic 3-2.

Lonsdale's win means Morfdown Elect are now bottom and the only winless side remaining.

Division Two

Chingford Athletic brushed aside Masterman 2-0 in the day's only fixture.

Division Three

E4 Rangers enjoyed a spectacular 12-0 win against Central Colts to move top of the pile by two points.

London Fire Brigade demolished Alliance United 4-0 to move into third, three points off of new leaders E4.

Heathside snuck a 2-1 win at home to Goresbrook.
