Redbridge remain in the relegation places in Isthmian Division One North after suffering consecutive defeats on Saturday and Tuesday.

The Motormen, in 22nd, are only in the bottom three thanks to their goal difference – which already reads at a whopping minus 55.

Redbridge found themselves 1-0 down after 17 minutes to a Ryan Charles goal but resisted any further body blows until six minutes before the break when centre-back Lee Townrow added a second.

Townrow then grabbed his second and the hosts' third with five minutes to spare.

On Saturday Redbridge had been beaten by two late goals at Thurrock, eventually going down 3-1 to the high-flying Fleet.

Dave Ross and Ricky Eaton's men took a surprise third-minute lead at Ship Lane when Charlie Parish poked home.

Thurrock, in third, drew level in the 36th minute when midfielder Lewwis Spence finished off a move which involved David Cowley, Reece Morgan and Ross Wall.

Having equalised, the hosts went in search of a winner but failed to find a way through the resolute Redbridge defence.

With time running out, Joe Christou gave the home side the lead in the 84th minute before applying the gloss six minutes later.

Redbridge host Barkingside on Saturday before going to East Thurrock United in the Essex County Cup on Tuesday.
