East London Runners' Patrick Brown won the Wanstead parkrun on Saturday, completing the course in 18 minutes.

The result capped a successful weekend for the club which also included a second-place finish for Dan Senior at Wanstead, coming home in 19.31

In John Brombley’s first ever parkrun he finished second in Hackney with a time of 17.36.

There was further cheer for the club with fourth and sixth place finishes respectively for Spencer Evans and James Creed at the Valentine parkrun.

Creed set a course personal best with his time of 20.39.

The success continued with a second-place finish after Thomas Grimes completed the 5km run at Grovelands in 17.55 while Diccon Loy finished fifth at the Gunpowder course.

Iain Mackie finished ninth at the Barking parkrun, completing the run in a personal best time of 22.01 to mark his debut on the course.

Elsewhere there was an 18th place finish for Craig Livermore who completed the Run Through Greenwich 10km on Sunday in a personal best time of 42.02.
