Dimitri Payet scored an incredible goal to ensure France won against Romania in their opening match at Euro 2016.

The 29-year-old scored in the 88th minute as he cut in from the right and unleased an unstoppable effort which flew into the top corner.

The West Ham midfielder showed tears of joy when he was substituted in the 90th minute as he realised he sealed the winner in front of the home fans.

Payet becomes the third West Ham player to score in the Euros after Geoff Hurst in 1968 and Trevor Brooking in 1980 both of whom played for England.
