West Ham United have been told they will have to pay £40million if they want to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette according to the Daily Mirror.
The Mirror claim the Hammers have had a £32m bid rejected by the Ligue 1 side for the striker’s services, with the French club stating they will not do business unless their valuation is met, which is thought to be £40m.
Lacazette has spent his entire career to date with Lyon and the 25-year-old was prolific during the 2015/16 season, scoring 23 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions.
The report from the Mirror goes on to claim that Hammers manager Slaven Bilic has asked the club to sign a top striker in the transfer window, but it remains to be seen if the East London club will meet Lyon’s demands for Lacazette.
