Carlos Bacca’s deal to West Ham is dead in the water as Slaven Bilic cannot find a buyer for Diafra Sakho.
According to The Sun, Swansea star Andre Ayew will be West Ham’s last big summer signing.
Hammers boss Bilic had hoped to bring in another striker, thought to be AC Milan’s £25m-rated Bacca.
But Sakho’s collapsed £15m move to West Brom due to a back problem has halted his summer spending plans.
Ayew, 26, can fill a number of positions including as a lone forward, a left-sided midfielder and an attacking midfielder.
He came off before half-time in their match against Chelsea on Monday with what looked like a thigh injury.
The Ghana international joined Swansea from Marseille on a free transfer last summer where he scored 12 goals in 34 appearances during last season.
