Former Leyton Orient midfielder Scott Kashket says he was pleased to leave the club after joining Wycombe Wanderers.
The 20-year-old joined the Chairboys on a short-term deal on deadline day after being released by Orient.
He had to wait until Saturday to make his first appearance for Wanderers – a 1-0 defeat away at Carlisle United – but Kashket says the move has been nothing but positive.
He said: “I was happy to get out of there and everyone was saying Wycombe was a great club and I am seeing that now.
“It is different. You are treated very, very well here and it is a family club so everyone is close together.”
Kashket was used sparingly during his two years at the Matchroom Stadium and is now hoping to earn a longer term deal with Wycombe.
He says the welcome he received has helped him settle and he is enjoying his time at Adams Park.
Kashket explained: “I have enjoyed it and the players have made it really easy for me. They have been very friendly and encouraging and that is what you want when you are new to a club.”
