The FA has confirmed former West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has left his role as England manager after a national newspaper sting.
Allardyce, who left his role as Hammers boss in 2015, had only been in the job for 67 days but departed by mutual consent today after discussions at Wembley with Martin Glenn, the FA's chief executive.
He was caught out less than 24 hours earlier by a Telegraph article, in which he explained to undercover reporters how to get around the FA's laws on third-party ownership.
Gareth Southgate will take charge of next weekend's World Cup Qualifier with Malta.
