Leyton Orient’s appeal against the red card awarded to Robbie Weir in Tuesday’s 2-0 loss to Plymouth Argyle has been unsuccessful.
The O’s skipper was shown a straight red card inside the first minute at Brisbane Road after a robust challenge on Ben Purrington.
Weir’s three-game ban will now begin with immediate effect and he is therefore unavailable for tomorrow’s League Two meeting with Martin Allen’s Barnet.
Tuesday’s match also saw Jens Janse given his marching orders for a last man challenge on Jake Jarvis, and the Dutchman will also be unavailable at the Hive.
