Gold Coast Titans Rugby League player Dan Saringson is raring to go for England’s match against New Zealand on Saturday in the Four Nations.

The former London Broncos player missed out on last year’s 2015 three-match Test series against New Zealand through injury and was thrilled to be selected for his home country.

The 23-year-old watched from the sidelines as the Red and Whites came out as 2-1 victors and hopes he is selected for the clash against Australia on Sunday, November 13 in London.

He added: “To play at the London Stadium again is massive for the sport.

“I came along last year and there was a huge crowd, some of them probably watching Rugby League for the first time.

“It was an enormous success and if I get the call-up that weekend I will try and get all my friends and family down to watch.”

Saringson grew up in Hemel Hempsted having played for Hemel Stags at a junior level.

From 2011-2013 he played for London Broncos before signing for Super League side Wigan Warriors.

“It is as close as it gets playing in East London to Hemel especially in the Rugby League,” said the full-back.

“A few of my old team-mates, who played in the Challenge Cup final, will hopefully have a chance to watch me in action.”

Scotland have entered the Four Nations for the first time this year and with it bring a host of new faces to the sport.

The former Wigan player said: “Every time there is a new team it brings more people who want to come and watch the game.

“It gets the sport out there and with Scotland joining it this time around it spreads across to another part of the country.”

England competed in a pre-tournament match on Saturday and defeated France 40-6.

It was the first weekend they had competed together and Saringson was pleased with the performance.

The match on Saturday kicks off at 2.30pm against New Zealand at Huddersfield’s John Smith’s Stadium live on BBC One while Scotland play Australia tomorrow.

England Rugby League returns to London on Sunday, November 13 (2pm) to take on World Cup holders Australia at London Stadium. This will be the first time these sides have met on English soil since 2013.
