West Ham United youngster Reece Oxford is set to join Reading on loan until the end of the season, co chairman David Sullivan has all but confirmed.
Sullivan discussed a possible move while speaking on Talksport this morning.
He said: “Reece Oxford could be going to Reading. It would be great for Reading and great for Reece. He is probably the best 18-year-old centre-back in the country, but he needs games.”
While a deal is yet to be struck, Sullivan’s comments appear to confirm the two clubs are in discussions over a deadline day move.
An undoubted talent, Oxford has struggled to secure regular game time this season and made his last appearance for the club in the Europa League in August.
