Robert Snodgrass says it is vital for West Ham United to return to winning ways as soon as possible after Saturday’s 3-2 defeat against Bournemouth.

The loss was United’s first on the road in 2017 and saw them slip to 11th in the Premier League table as their winless run extended to four games.

Joshua King scored a hat-trick in a game which saw West Ham concede two penalties and twice fight back from a goal down.

They ultimately failed to take anything from the game, however, and Snodgrass feels United need to be more resolute in order to get positive results.

“We’ve been on a good run as of late but we can’t give teams two penalties and concede three goals, so we need to get back to training and move forward,” he said.

“When we first scored I thought we needed to see it out until half-time but we conceded a second penalty, we conceded a goal so that was hard.

“The manager said it and we all agree that we need to be better at game management which will help us see it through at times.”

A number of minor injuries could easily have made the Scotland international’s transition to life at London Stadium tricky, but Snodgrass says the opposite is true.

“It’s difficult and that (injuries) made it harder but I’m big enough to keep on going and I’m sure it won’t be long before we’re back to winning games,” he said.

“To be honest, I couldn’t have settled in any better, the people here have been absolutely great. My teammates have been first class.

“The move couldn’t have gone any better really, now I’m concentrated on doing well for the team and looking forward to the games coming up.”
