It’s been a busy week for Tottenham’s internationals, with more action yet to come.

Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Kyle Walker all lined up from the start at Wembley on Sunday as Gareth Southgate saw his team overcome Lithuania 2-0 in their FIFA World Cup Qualifier. Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermaine Defoe opened the scoring before substitute Jamie Vardy sealed the win.

The trio also all started for England in their friendly away to Germany last Wednesday as the Three Lions fell to a fabulous strike by Lukas Podolski, who was bringing the curtain down on his 130-match Germany career. The game ended 1-0 to the hosts.

Denmark and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen was unable to help his country to a World Cup Qualifier win against Romania on Sunday as they were held to a 0-0 draw.

Hugo Lloris’ France side successfully overcame their hosts Luxembourg in a 3-1 victory on Saturday. Lloris played the whole game and will be back at the club after France’s friendly against Italy on Tuesday.

Victor Wanyama played 90 minutes for Kenya as they beat DR Congo 2-1 in a friendly on Sunday.

Belgian trio Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele were held to a 1-1 draw in their World Cup Qualifier at home to Greece. Vertonghen and Alderweireld both played the full 90 while Dembele came on after 66 minutes. They head to Russia on Tuesday for a friendly before returning to Spurs.

Michael Vorm was Tottenham’s only representative in the Netherlands squad this week as Vincent Janssen missed out with injury. Vorm had to watch from the bench as his side were beaten 2-0 by hosts Bulgaria in their World Cup Qualifier on Saturday. Vorm will return to the club after his side take on Italy in a friendly on Tuesday.

Wales and Spurs defender Ben Davies headed over to the Republic of Ireland with his country on Friday night as a fiery game in Dublin ended 0-0 - leaving Wales’ hopes of qualifying for the World Cup in 2018 in the balance.

Kevin Wimmer was a part of the Austria squad who overcame Moldova 2-0 in a home World Cup Qualifier on Friday. He had to settle for a place on the bench but will hope to get some game time in their friendly against Finland on Tuesday.

Heung-Min Son is also away with his South Korean team mates as they take on Syria in a home World Cup Qualifier on Tuesday.

Several of the club’s younger players were involved in action at international youth level.

Harry Winks met up with England under-21s for friendlies in Germany and Denmark. He started against Germany on Friday as the Young Lions lost 1-0 to their hosts and was replaced in the 72nd minute. He will be hoping for another start as they take on Denmark today.

Pau Lopez is on duty with Spain’s under21s side and took on Denmark in a friendly on Thursday. They recovered from going a goal down to eventually win the game 3-1. Lopez, on loan from Espanyol, played in goal for Spain. They take on Italy tonight in another friendly.

Tom Glover has been away with the Australian under-23s squad as they held a training camp in Spain between 20th and 28th March and includes friendly games against Austria’s under-21s and Finland’s under-21s. The game against Austria on Friday finished 1-1.

Josh Onomah is with the England under-20s team as they headed to France for a series of friendlies. On Saturday, he watched from the bench as the team beat France 1-0.

The first game on Thursday was against Portugal and Onomah couldn’t inspire the team to victory as they were held to a 2-2 draw. The four-team tournament ends tomorrow as England take on Senegal.

The England under-19s met up for their European Elite Qualifying round at St. Georges Park. Marcus Edwards and goal keeper Alfie Whiteman were both part of the squad. On Friday the team faced Spain and recorded a 3-0 victory with the two Tottenham players as unused substitutes.

They had also watched from the bench in the opening game on Wednesday as England beat Norway 3-0. The final game of the group is today against Belarus.

England’s under-18s group met up in Qatar to play two friendlies against the hosts and one against Saudi Arabia.

On Friday England faced Qatar, both Samuel Shashoua and Japhet Tanganga started with Shashoua scoring for England in a 2-1 win. Wednesday saw the opening game against Saudia Arabia end in a 2-0 victory for England.

Tanganga played 87 minutes and Shashoua came on after 77 minutes. The final game will be played today (27th) against Qatar again.

Finally, the England under 17’s team took part in their European Elite Round qualifying matches in Bosnia. They faced Slovenia on Saturday and recorded a 4-0 win. TJ Eyoma scored the second goal and played the whole game whilst Tashan Oakley-Boothe came off the bench just after an hour.

England had already faced the Czech Republic on Thursday, with Oakley-Boothe coming on as a substitute and Eyoma an unused substitute in a 5-3 win. The final game of the qualification round takes place tomorrow as they face the host nation, Bosnia.
